How not to waste your free time at work

---

In law firms, it is very common to face long working hours, and some of them are not used for work, but to wait for the review of a contract, for example

That is why it is vital to know how to make the most of your free time. Here are some useful tips:

- Strengthen professional relationships

A good activity to do during free time in the office is to talk to and care about your professional contacts. In addition to showing interest, you can learn about their needs and keep them in mind for future transactions

- Take time for personal leisure

Many lawyers find that writing a diary or blog can be very beneficial in terms of free (or dead) time during your working day. Discover your hobbies from which to write. This exercise will help you to take your mind off the countless tasks you do during the day

- Improve your professional presence

Updating and improving your CV is an unfinished business for many lawyers who do not find enough time during the day to do this. It can also be beneficial, as a lawyer, for you to spread your legal knowledge through articles on your own law firm's blog or in legal journals.

- Spend time on your wellbeing

Eating well and doing sport are two very effective ways to improve your health. If you tend to have downtime during your working day, make the most of it by going to the gym or going for long walks. When you return to the office you will feel more rested.

- Coaching

More and more law firms are opting for coaching or mentoring services. These practices help lawyers to clear their heads and find their purpose as professionals. It also takes away the negativity generated by stress and puts the focus on what is most important in their work: their professional development and motivation.
