Fieldfisher JAUSAS has strengthened the area of Administrative and Regulatory Law with the addition of two new partners. Ramón Vázquez del Rey and Silvia Mañá join the Madrid and Barcelona offices, respectively, with the aim of expanding, complementing and promoting this area of practice within the British firm's network. Their expertise will allow them to bring added value to the department and to the firm as a whole, backed up by a long professional career. 

Ramón Vázquez del Rey Villanueva, with more than 21 years' professional experience in the field of public law and regulated sectors, comes from PwC where he joined from Uría Menéndez. He is recognised by Chambers as an expert in Energy & Natural Resources. His experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, as well as in cross-cutting advice on public law and contentious-administrative litigation, will strengthen Fieldfisher's presence in these sectors where the needs and opportunities for its clients are relevant, especially in the current context. 

Silvia Mañá, on the other hand, from the renowned public law boutique of Professor Joaquín Tornos and after her time at Roca Junyent and Cuatrecasas, joins our firm as a specialist in advising on public law matters with special expertise in the areas of urban planning law, the environment, public contracting and contentious-administrative litigation.

According to Vázquez del Rey, our objective is to "promote and strengthen an area that allows us to expand our offerings as a law firm and, at the same time, be able to offer our clients comprehensive advice". In this sense, in a traditional sector such as the legal one, the current socio-economic context is leading to a situation of legal changes "which must be interpreted as an opportunity for our sector", according to Mañá, who adds that "our axis and objective is to generate added value for our clients, which is why it is essential to design and offer new products and services in order to anticipate their needs and provide advice adapted to the circumstances and challenges presented by the current legal framework".
