Dentons hires new partner for Banking & Finance in the UK

Dentons has recruited Simon Prendergast as a partner in the firm's UK Banking and Finance Division. One of the leading asset based lending and receivables financing lawyers in the UK, ranked as a leading individual in both Legal 500 and Chambers, Simon joins the London office from Addleshaw Goddard where he has been a partner since 2013.

Simon has over twenty years' experience advising asset based lenders and corporate borrowers on UK and cross-border transactions. He advises a range of UK and international banks and independent asset based lenders, together with a number of large corporates, in relation to all types of asset based lending and receivables finance transactions, including syndicated asset based lending and receivables finance facilities, off balance sheet receivables purchase facilities and supply chain finance.

UK Banking and Finance Divisional Leader Paul Holland says, "Asset based lending is a growth market given where we are in the economic cycle, and our capabilities in this area complement the corporate lending and restructuring practices. I look forward to working with Simon as we continue to build the Banking and Finance team, strengthen our relationships with financial institutions, and enhance our client offering in line with Dentons UKIME CEO Paul Jarvis's growth agenda."
