Roger Gurney joined Buckles in February 2013 from a national firm. He is a trained collaborative lawyer and mediator, specialising in all aspects of family law.

He have more than 30 years’ experience as a family lawyer, helping clients achieve a cost effective and fair outcome to their difficulties. He advises on all aspects of relationship breakdown, whether involving divorce, separation or issues relating to children. His work also includes the preparation of pre/post-marital agreements and cohabitation contracts.

Gurney is a Resolution accredited specialist family lawyer and with expertise in private law children cases and complex financial matters.

In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors. This often involves frequent fell walking excursions in Derbyshire and the Lake District with his family, walking his Weimaraner and gardening. He also plays badminton regularly and runs occasionally.
