Dr. Lalit Bhasin has been in law practice for the past 58 years since 1962. He holds various prestigious positions such as President of the Bar Association of India; President of Society of Indian Law Firms; and President of Indian Law Fundation.

Dr. Bhasin was conferred Honorary Life Membership by the International Bar Association in 1994 in Melbourne - The only Indian to be given this unique and prestigious honor. He is Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators - India and Member of the International Court of Arbitration, Paris. He was former Chairman of the Delhi Bar Council from 1973 to 1977 and Former Chairman of the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal. He was only the second Indian to be elected as President of the Inter Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) in 2013-2014 He was Founder Co-Chair of the India Committee set up by the American Bar Association (Section of International Law).

Dr. Bhasin was awarded Doctor in Laws (LLD) Honoris Causa by Jaipur University in 2013. He was conferred the National Law Day Award by the President of India in 2007. He was awarded the Plaque of Honor by the Prime Minister of India in 2002 for outstanding contribution to the rule of law.
